§ 02 / About
Data is a kind of cartography — a way of mapping the country we cannot walk in a single lifetime.

Data of Nepal is an independent open-data project. We collect, clean, and publish public datasets about Nepal — sourced from government surveys, academic research, NGOs, and citizen science.

Every dataset is free to download under a Creative Commons license, with full provenance and methodology. We believe good data should be as accessible as a mountain trail — clearly marked, well maintained, and open to whoever shows up.

Built quietly in Kathmandu. Released to the world.
